How to Update Profile Details

1. Access Your Profile

  • Log in to your Loxala account.
  • Click on the “Profile” tab on your dashboard to access profile settings.

2. Edit Skills

  • Adding Skills:  
    • Go to the “Skills” section.
    • Use the search bar to find existing skills from the database or add new skills by typing in the text field.
    • If adding a new skill, it will need to be admin-approved before it becomes visible.
  • Managing Skills:  
    • You can list up to 6 skills in total.
    • Use the drag-and-drop feature to rearrange skills based on priority or expertise.
    • Click the "Save" button to update your skills list.
    • A message confirming the update will be displayed.

3. Update Work Experience

  • Access the Experience Section:  
    • Click on the “Experience” tab within your profile.
    • Add new roles, modify existing positions, or remove outdated experiences.
  • Adding New Experience:  
    • Fill in the fields, including:
      • Position (e.g., "Graphic Designer")
      • Company (e.g., "ABC Corp")
      • Duration (e.g., "Jan 2018 - Dec 2023")
      • Description: Describe your role and responsibilities in 300-500 characters.
    • Click the “Save” button to update your experience.
    • Auto-save will ensure progress is saved if interrupted.

4. Modify Your Portfolio

  • Add New Portfolio Items:  
    • Go to the “Portfolio” section and click “Add New”.
    • Upload relevant work samples (e.g., documents, images).
    • Add a title, description, and project link (if applicable).
    • Accepted formats: PDF, JPEG, PNG, and links.
    • File size limit: 10MB per file.
    • Click the “Save” button to confirm the changes.
  • Edit Existing Portfolio Items:  
    • Click on any portfolio item to edit its details.
    • You can modify the title, description, and file attachments.

5. Update Other Profile Information

  • Profile Picture:  
    • Go to the “Profile Picture” section.
    • Upload a professional headshot (JPEG/PNG, max size: 5MB).
    • Avoid inappropriate images, as they will be flagged for review.
  • Name and Job Title:  
    • Update your name and job title directly from the General Info section.
    • Note: Once verified through ID verification, name fields cannot be edited.
  • About Me Section:  
    • Edit your bio by adding new information or modifying existing content (up to 2,500 characters).
    • Include key skills, experiences, and achievements to make it compelling.

  • Use Specific Skills: Include the most relevant skills for your freelance niche.
  • Highlight Recent Achievements: Keep your work experience updated to reflect your latest roles and accomplishments.
