Accessing Your Account Settings

To begin:

  • Log in to your Loxala account.
  • Click the “Settings” tab from your main dashboard.
  • Navigate through available options, including:
    • General Settings
    • Notifications
    • Privacy
    • Security

Adjusting Notification Preferences

Job Management Notifications

Choose which alerts you'd like to receive:

  • New Project Invitations – Get notified when a client invites you to apply.
  • Project Updates – Receive alerts about changes to active projects (e.g., new milestones or deadline changes).
  • Proposal Status – Enable notifications when your proposals are accepted or rejected.
  • Job Recommendations – Get alerts for new jobs that match your skillset.
  • Deadline Reminders – Stay on track with reminders for upcoming deadlines.

Managing Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility Options

You control who sees your profile:

  • Clients Only – Only logged-in clients can view your profile.
  • Public Visibility – Anyone, including external visitors, can view your profile.
  • Private Mode – Only you and platform admins can see your profile.

Search Appearance

Customize how your profile appears in Loxala’s search results:

  • Full Details – Show complete profile info, including skills and experience.
  • Limited Details – Display only basic details (e.g., name and job title).
  • Hidden – Remove your profile from search results entirely.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To protect your account, Loxala supports 2FA via Google Authenticator only.

Steps to Enable:

  • Go to the “Security” tab in your account settings.
  • Toggle on Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Choose Google Authenticator:
    • Scan the QR code using the Google Authenticator app.
    • Enter the verification code to activate 2FA.

Editing or Changing 2FA

  • Confirm your current password when prompted.
  • Update your 2FA method using the Google Authenticator app again.

Changing Your Password

To update your password:

  • Visit the “Password & Security” section.
  • Enter your current password to confirm your identity.
  • Choose a new password that meets the following criteria:
    • Minimum of 8 characters
    • Mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
    • At least one number and one special character
  • Re-enter the new password to confirm and save changes.
