Job Invitations

Discover the best practices for responding to direct job invitations from clients, enhancing your chances of securing the project.

When a client invites you to a specific project, it’s a great opportunity to start a contract directly. Here’s how the process works:

Key Features

  1. Reviewing an Offer
    • Once a job offer is sent, it appears in the freelancer's account under Pending Offers. Each offer includes compensation details, start date, and terms.
  2. Responding to the Offer
    • Accept: Accept the offer to start working, which will move the job status to In Progress.
    • Reject: Decline the offer with the option to provide a reason (Price, Scope, or Schedule mismatch).
    • Message Client: Open a chat to discuss terms or clarify details before making a decision.
  3. Rejection Options
    • Freelancers can select a reason for rejecting the offer and provide additional comments if desired. Common reasons include Price not acceptable, Scope mismatch, Conflicting schedule, or Other.
    • A confirmation step ensures the freelancer’s decision is final, with notifications sent to both parties after a rejection.
  4. Offer Acceptance
    • Acceptance Notification: Upon acceptance, freelancers receive a confirmation message regarding any fees applied (Standard, Multiple, or Weekend rates).
  5. Offer Expiration
    • Offers remain open for 7 calendar days. On the 6th day, freelancers receive a reminder. If not accepted by the end of the 7th day, the offer automatically expires.
