Steps to Submit a Winning Proposal

1. Job Application Tips  
   • At the start, freelancers can access Loxala’s expert advice by clicking on Job Application Tips to view best practices for proposals and profiles. This link directs users to Loxala’s blog, offering insights into crafting effective applications.
2. Cover Letter  
   • Introduce yourself and explain your suitability for the job in a cover letter field.  
   • Minimum 100 characters; max 2,500 characters.  
   • Upload Option: Attach one document (DOC or PDF, up to 2 MB) if you want to share additional details with the client.
3. Propose a Budget  
   • Flexible Budgeting: Enter your desired rate, even if it differs from the listed job budget.  
   • Fixed or Hourly Rate: Select the most appropriate option and choose a bidding category:
     • Bid Under Budget: Optionally enter a rate below the client’s budget; highlight your unique value.
     • Bid Within Budget: The bid matches the client’s listed budget.
     • Bid Over Budget: Enter a rate above the client’s budget; be prepared to justify the higher rate.
4. Bidding for Fixed or Hourly Projects  
   • Fixed-Price Projects:  
     • Define your total price and add milestones to break down project payments.
   • Hourly Projects:  
     • Set your hourly rate within $10 to $450 range, regardless of the client’s listed rate.
5. Commission Overview  
   • After submitting a proposal, a pop-up outlines commission fees for transparency:
     • Standard Rate: 10% on total earnings.
     • Multiple Projects: 10.9% commission if handling several projects.
     • Weekend Work: Reduced 8.9% fee for work during weekends.  
   • Buttons like “Got It!” and “Learn More” provide access to more details on commissions.
6. Submit Proposal  
   • Submit once you’ve filled out all sections.  
   • Verifications: Ensure your profile is 80% complete and that you haven’t exceeded your application limit for the month.  
   • After submission, freelancers can track applications in My Jobs.
